We started Belle Vie Beauty Lounge to bring focus to the idea that beauty is more than just skin deep. Here at our lounge, we want to change the concept of what beauty means in today’s world. We want to help our clients flourish and become even more confident. Essentially, we want to create an environment where women can find peace, comfort, and safety. This vision came to us after we realized that a lot of our clients came to us feeling comfortable enough to share the various struggles that they have had to overcome in life. Through speaking and connecting with our clients, we were able to hear their stories and how a lot of them were dealing with a lack of self-confidence and self-love. These conversations reminded us of our struggles as minorities growing up in Canada.  Growing up, we both dealt with trying to fit in and the constant comparison with what the media was portraying as “beauty”. The realization that we didn’t fit these standards was daunting and made us believe that we weren’t beautiful in our unique way. This mindset allowed us to stay in certain situations that didn’t serve us, and it propelled us to want to do better for ourselves; that was when our journey to self-love began. Becoming aware of how difficult, confusing, and lonely this process can be, inspired us to create Belle Vie Beauty Lounge; a safe space for women to rediscover themselves. A space where women can come to become more beautiful not just physically, but also mentally and spiritually. A space where a woman can go to elevate their mind, body, and soul. Not only will we strive to provide the best services but also provide a space for women to gather and feel as a part of one community.
